For the self-portrait assignment, I applied some techniques we discussed in class to capture the two stop - motion pictures and one blurred motion picture. 

Research

Cindy Sherman is an American self-portrait photographer. In her works, she often plays the role of many different characters and settings throughout her career and has brought many different stories. That is an interesting thing about this photographer. She is also a versatile artist because in order to create an image, she has taken on many different roles: model, makeup artist, hairdresser, etc. Her works represent the contemporary art. "Sherman’s obvious use of prosthetic body parts and theatrical setting compel the viewer to think about the posturing and modeling of the original historical sources. For this reason, many critics have praised Sherman’s deconstruction of overtly masculine visions of the female in the history of art." ("Cindy Sherman", The Broad).
